Welcome to our Winter & Spring Hiking Season!
This will be more of a dry hike - with some mud and possible ice but mostly dry. Today we won't go all the way to the top. We'll scout out the trail conditions for a near future hike to the top. As always, go as far as you feel comfortable. Turn around at any time. This is a great hike for this time of year and for the conditions right now!!
This season is a period of transition. We will prepare you for a wide variety of hiking terrain conditions i.e. dry, mud, snow, ice, etc.
8 AM: Start gathering/greet hikers, confirm hiking trail & canyon and how to get there, any last minute instructions, quick orientation for new hikers, arrange carpools. Confirm whether you need spikes OR snowshoes for this hike. Let me know if you need a pair since I may have snowshoes to rent and possibly micro spikes as well.
8:15 AM: Leave for trailhead
11:30 AM: Off the trail on or before this time (unless specifically stated)
Hiking outings, every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, are designed as a 3 hour day hike, for easier to moderate hiking abilities UNLESS STATED OTHERWISE.
Regardless of your hiking experience or ability, I'll help you get acquainted with a new trail each week!
Make new friends...
Experience the breath taking beauty of the Wasatch Mountains AND beyond!
